The 2018 edition of the annual UN report states that the number of food-insecure people in the world is still rising. Immediate action is needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030.
The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2018 was published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in September 2018.
