TRAINING MODULES: CRISP, IRRI and DAFE, Government of Odisha (2020)

CRISP, IRRI and DAFE, Government of Odisha (2020)

Based on a systematic Capacity Needs Assessment of EAS in Odisha, undertaken by the Centre for Research on Innovation and Science Policy (CRISP) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in 2018-19, a strategy was developed to address the identified capacity gaps. Based on the prioritised capacity needs and recommendations from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment (Government of Odisha), CRISP and IRRI have developed these modules. These were pilot tested in Training of Trainers Workshop organised at the Institute on Management of Agricultural Extension (IMAGE), Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. We hope these training modules would be used by facilitators in agricultural training centres and faculty of agricultural extension in the state of Odisha for developing capacities of extension functionaries to enable them to offer better support, advice and guidance to farmers and farmer organisations.
