National Workshop New Frontiers in Agricultural Extension by MANAGE,CRISP,AESA on 29-31 May 2019 at MANAGE

Context

The theory and practice of extension has evolved considerably in the recent past on the basis of new research in the area of diffusion, innovation and communication studies. These new insights are important tools to reinvent extension to meet the evolving needs of varied stakeholders in the Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS). There has been an increasing demand for new content for teaching and training extension so that the discipline remains relevant to the new context. and define these new trends. The MANAGE-University Alliance for Advancing Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services and in participation with AESA and CRISP worked closely with the sub-committee on Agricultural Extension constituted by ICAR (under the ICAR Broad Subject Matter Area (BSMA) for Social Sciences) during July-September 2018 to develop a new curricula for agricultural extension at the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels.
